I was born in Belgium to a Dutch mother and Belgian father. By the age of 15, I was essentially trilingual in Dutch, French and English. After high school I went to university to study to become an interpreter for Russian and English to Dutch. I studied one year in Russia where I became very fluent in the language. After university, I moved to Germany where I worked for an airline for 3 years. By the time I left Germany, I had picked up German and Italian.
