Burmese is the official language of Myanmar (Burma). It is spoken as the first language by 33 million native Bamar (Burman) people and related ethnic groups. The language is a part of the Sino-Tibetan language family. On an estimate there are 52 billion Burmese language speakers all over the globe, mostly gathered in the countries of Burma, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Burmese language is originally derived from the Pahlavi script of South India. The language is not ideographic.

Tagalog is an Austronesian language and is one of the major languages of the Republic of the Philippines. Its standardized form, officially Filipino is the national language of the Philippines, and is spoken as a first language by a quarter of the population there, and as a second language by the majority. Along with 28 million native speakers, Tagalog is also spoken in many parts of Canada, Guam, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and USA. Since 1940, Filipino has been taught in schools throughout the Philippines.
